Shinde Camp, nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta, is one of Botswana’s most iconic and beloved camps. Rebuilt in 2020, Shinde retains the charm of its original structure while offering a luxurious and sophisticated safari experience.

Located on the edge of the Shinde Lagoon, the camp is surrounded by abundant wildlife and offers breathtaking views of the water and surrounding landscape.

The camp’s unique main area is designed in a treehouse style, providing an elevated perspective over the lagoon. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounges, dine in style indoors or al fresco, and gather around the fire deck under the shade of ebony and mangosteen trees.

Shinde’s design elegantly combines classic safari charm with modern luxury, ensuring a world-class experience that is both intimate and welcoming.

Shinde Camp offers seven spacious en-suite tents, including a family tent with two bedrooms, designed to provide the ultimate in comfort and style.

Each tent features a large bedroom with a choice of twin or king-sized beds, an en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and a private deck offering stunning views of the delta. The tents are furnished with elegant decor that reflects the natural beauty of the surroundings, creating a serene retreat where guests can unwind after a day of adventure.

The camp is equipped with full solar electricity, standing and ceiling fans, yoga mats, and even hair dryers, ensuring that guests enjoy all the modern comforts while staying true to the camp’s eco-friendly ethos. The family tent, which accommodates up to five guests, is perfect for those traveling with children, providing ample space and a shared en-suite bathroom.

Shinde Camp offers a diverse range of safari experiences, thanks to its prime location in the Okavango Delta. Guests can enjoy both water and land activities year-round, making the most of the delta’s unique ecosystem.
