South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park is renowned as the birthplace of the walking safari, offering visitors a unique and immersive way to explore the African wilderness. The park’s diverse habitats, from dense woodlands to open plains, support a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, and hippos. The Luangwa River, which runs through the park, is a lifeline for the animals, and its banks are ideal for spotting game. South Luangwa is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 species recorded.

Lower Zambezi National Park

Lower Zambezi National Park is a remote and unspoiled wilderness area located along the Zambezi River. The park’s diverse landscapes, from riverbanks to floodplains and woodlands, provide a rich habitat for wildlife. Visitors can enjoy game drives, walking safaris, and canoeing on the Zambezi River, where elephants, buffalo, and hippos are commonly seen. The park’s relative isolation means that it receives fewer visitors, offering a truly exclusive safari experience.

Kafue National Park

Kafue National Park is Zambia’s largest and oldest national park, covering an area of over 22,000 square kilometers. The park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, floodplains, and miombo woodlands. Kafue is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of antelope. The park’s Busanga Plains are particularly famous for their predator populations and are best visited during the dry season when the floodwaters recede.

Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya or “The Smoke That Thunders,” is one of Africa’s most iconic landmarks. The falls are located on the Zambezi River, which forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Visitors to the Zambian side of the falls can enjoy breathtaking views from various vantage points, as well as thrilling activities such as white-water rafting, bungee jumping, and helicopter flights. The surrounding Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is home to a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras.

North Luangwa National Park

North Luangwa National Park is one of Zambia’s most remote and least-visited parks, offering a truly wild and untouched safari experience. The park is known for its walking safaris, which allow visitors to explore the wilderness on foot, guided by experienced rangers. North Luangwa is home to a healthy population of lions, as well as elephants, buffalo, and rare species such as the Cookson’s wildebeest and Crawshay’s zebra. The park’s isolation ensures that visitors can enjoy a private and exclusive safari experience.
